Frequently Asked Questions
Will my sessions be confidential?
Your privacy is very important. I follow strict ethical standards and HIPAA laws, which means I cannot share your information without your written consent.
There are a few legal exceptions, including situations involving risk of harm to yourself or others, suspected child or elder abuse, or court orders. Insurance companies may also require limited information to process claims.
Do you accept healthcare insurance?
Yes, I'm in-network with the following insurance plans: Aetna, Horizon BCBS, Oscar Health, Oxford, UnitedHealthcare (UHC/UBH)

I partner with Headway to verify benefits and manage billing, copays, and payments through a secure platform. However, you are responsible for understanding your own coverage, including copays, deductibles, and any limitations.
If I am out-of-network with your plan, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement. I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance provider. Please contact your insurer directly to confirm your benefits.
Where are sessions held?
Virtual counseling services are available across New Jersey through a secure telehealth platform, and in-person therapy sessions are offered in Whippany, NJ. This approach allows you to access quality care in the way that works best for your lifestyle.
What can I expect with therapy?
We’ll start with a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit. If we move forward, you’ll complete intake forms through a secure portal before your first session.
In our first session, we’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, review your background, clarify your goals, and go over how we’ll work together. There will also be time for any questions.
From there, we’ll move at your pace in a supportive, collaborative space.
If I am not using healthcare insurance, what can I expect to pay?
In accordance with the No Surprises Act, clients who are uninsured or are self-pay are entitled to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE) of the expected costs for psychotherapy services. This GFE will be provided as a separate document to qualifying clients.
Learn more about the No Surprises Act here.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
Therapy can be helpful if you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, emotionally distressed, or if you’re going through a major life change. It can also support you if you’re looking to better understand yourself, improve relationships, build coping skills, or grow personally.
If you’re unsure, that’s completely okay. A brief consultation is a good way to talk through what you’re experiencing and see whether therapy feels like a supportive fit for your needs.
